Live Like a Buccaneer on This Family-Friendly NJ Pirate Cruise
Climb aboard the Black Pearl pirate boat for an interactive family adventure in Beach Haven, NJ! Watch your children transform into little buccaneers as they get temporary tattoos and dress like pirates.
When you board our ship and head out to sea, your children learn how to talk, sing, dance, and play games like the true buccaneers of the high seas. Once underway, be on the lookout for Pirate Pete, who has stolen the keys to the treasure chest. When Pirate Pete is sighted, Captain Salty and his crew launch into battle.
Your children play a big role in this swashbucklin’ adventure as they fire the 12 powerful water cannons at the thieving pirates. Pete – the dirty scalawag – is sure to fire back at us, so prepare to get wet and have fun. Once Pete surrenders the keys, we raise the victory flag and celebrate by drinking grog and opening the treasure chest. All our buccaneers get to share the treasure!

Kids get temporary tattoos and pirate dress-up before the ship leaves the dock, then learn to talk, sing, and dance like buccaneers once we’re underway. Partway out, Pirate Pete turns up with the stolen keys to the treasure chest, and Captain Salty’s crew hands the kids the 12 water cannons to fight him off. When Pete surrenders the keys, we raise the victory flag, pour the grog, and open the treasure chest so every buccaneer gets a share. The whole adventure takes one hour.

It’s built for kids roughly 3+ with older kids and teenagers get pulled in once the water cannons come out. Toddlers do fine too since the whole ship is part of the show. Parents can enjoy the fully stocked bar while the kids play!

Yes! Pirate Pete fires back when the kids open up with the water cannons, so plan on everyone in the splash zone getting soaked. Bring a towel and a change of clothes, and dress the kids in something that can get wet.

The excursion leaves daily at 4 p.m. during the season, with additional trips added when demand calls for it. It’s our most popular cruise and summer dates sell out, so booking online ahead of time is the safest bet. Check the calendar for open dates, and arrive 30 minutes before departure to check in.
